Buy Spotify streams in India

Film soundtracks take up much of what India streams, so an independent single in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil or English starts with little room. Streams give a new release visible activity while you pitch it to playlists; they never generate royalties.

Releasing on Spotify as an Indian artist

Avoid the big film weeks

Major film albums arrive with heavy promotion around a movie's release. An independent single dropped the same Friday competes with them for attention; check what is coming out in your language and choose a quieter week.

Make the language obvious

Spotify's editorial playlists for India are organised by language as much as by genre, from Hindi and Punjabi to Tamil and Telugu. When you pitch through Spotify for Artists, describe language, genre and mood precisely so the track reaches the right editors.

Work your scene offline too

Hindi and Punjabi hip-hop, Mumbai and Bengaluru indie, and Tamil and Malayalam independent music each have their own curators, gigs and college fests. A track that already shows plays makes every one of those pitches easier.

Royalties need real listeners

A track under 1,000 streams a year earns nothing, and Spotify can remove plays it judges artificial. Keep orders modest, place them in release week, and count on real fans, not bought plays, for any royalty income.

FAQ: Spotify in India

Will bought streams earn royalties?
No. Bought streams never generate royalties, and they don't make a track eligible either: the threshold also needs a minimum of unique listeners, and Spotify filters artificial streaming. Treat streams as a visibility push for a new release.
Streams or monthly listeners first?
For a new single, streams from €3.99. Monthly listeners, from €6.99, suit an artist profile you're about to show a booker, a label or a brand looking for a collaborator.
Can I pay from India?
Yes. Prices are in euros; a Visa or Mastercard with international online transactions enabled is converted to rupees by your bank, which may add a forex markup. Crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH and others) is also accepted for orders of €10 or more.
Will the listeners be in India?
We don't promise listeners from India. Some services offer regional targeting on Pro packages; standard plays come from a worldwide pool at the listed price.
What do I need to send?
The Spotify link to the track, or to the public playlist for playlist followers. No distributor login and no Spotify password. Delivery starts within 24 hours and is paced over several days.
